I logged on to your blog to talk about the Brooker Creek Preserve article specifically. I read it in the St.Petersburg times this morning and wanted to know if there was anything we can do. I learned of its demise in another article in the Times and I was devastated. My friends and I are always searching for great hiking areas around us, and to lose that much of Brooker Creek would be horrible! I know many people who will not stand for it and think I could successfully network a petition. I would do anything to help save the preserve, as would everyone I know. Please get back to me, I would love for us to put something together.
Brooker Creek Preserve is a rare ecological gem. I hope that there is something we can do. I am by no means an expert on networking petitions but I think it is worth a shot. I know a number of people who would sign up.
